REVIEW JURNAL : PENGARUH PEMBERIAN PLATELET-RICH FIBRIN DALAM MEMPERCEPAT PROSES PENYEMBUHAN LUKA PASCAEKSTRAKSI GIGI

Abstract


Review jurnal ini mengkaji pengaruh pemberian platelet-rich fibrin terhadap penyembuhan luka pascaekstraksi gigi. Ekstraksi gigi adalah suatu prosedur bedah dengan tujuan mengambil gigi dari soketnya. Prosedur ini akan meninggalkan jaringan yang luka yang meliputi jaringan periodontal dan tulang alveolar. Salah satu upaya terapi regenerasi jaringan periodontal dan tulang alveolar adalah melalui rekayasa jaringan yang melibatkan sel progenitor, sistem perancah (scaffold) dan faktor pertumbuhan. Platelet–Rich Fibrin PRF terdiri dari berbagai macam faktor pertumbuhan dan fibrin yang berfungsi sebagai scaffold bagi mediator inflamasi dan faktor pertumbuhan. Review jurnal ini diambil dari beberapa jurnal yang membahas mengenai manfaat dari PRF dalam bidang kedokteran gigi. Hasil kajian ini menunjukkan bahwa PRF dapat mempercepat proses penyembuhan luka pasca ekstrasi gigi.
