Abstract

This study found that characteristic from a effective leader indicate thatâ€
owning integrity†representing characteristic most the necessary for a leader in
Indonesia and also in other nation. There by can be concluded that “ owning
integrity†would represent ethic for leader in Indonesia. This study also indicated
that “consultative leadership style†or “ pseude participation†as more style suited
for Indonesia contex because tendency of the leader to use paternalistic and
autoritary style. In this consultative leadership style,opinion from subordinate asked
but decision remain to on-hand leader.
