Abstract

Legal protection of children who are victims of violence have not receivedserious attention from the state, law enforcement and the community. Such as compensation for the suffering they experienced and coaching as well as rehabilitation for psychiatric conditions and restores confidence. The formulation of the problem is 1.What are forms of legal protection given to children who are victims of violent crime in the jurisdiction of the District Court of Padang? 2. What constraints encountered by law enforcement in providing legal protection to children who are victims of violent crime in the jurisdiction of the District Court of Padang? Type of research is a juridical sosiologis. Resources the data are primary data and data secondary. Technique data collection are interviews and document research. Data were analyzed qualitatively. Conclusion of the study is 1. Form of legal protection given to children as victims of violent crime are given at the stage of investigation, prosecution, and trial. 2. Obstacles encountered by law enforcement in providing legal protection to the child as a victim of a violent crime. a. Yet the implementation of compensation and restitution to the children who are victims of crime. b. Lack of cooperation between law enforcement relationship with the Witness and Victim Protection Agency.
