PROSES TRANSFORMASI PENYEBARLUASAN KONTEN RADIO SIARAN STUDI KASUS TENTANG PROSES TRANSFORMASI PENYEBARLUASAN KONTEN SIARAN MELALUI RADIO STREAMING DI RADIO ARDAN 105.9 FM

Abstract

The research is motivated by the development of broadcasting technology marked by the adoption of streaming radio as an alternative media besides analogous radio. With the presence of streaming technology the change or transformation in dispersing broadcast content is made possible. The mechanism to present and deliver information resulting from this creative process was the focus of the research. This research was approached qualitatively applying case study method. The research questions were centered around the technical policy of radio station’s management in the process of dispersion transformation of the content of the broadcasting radio through streaming radio, the reasons for choosing streaming radio to disperse content, the streaming broadcast patterns, and whether it is necessary or not to apply rules/regulations in the process of dispersion transformation of the content of the broadcasting radio station. The research was conducted at Ardan Radio Bandung. The research interview was done from May to June 2016. Ardan Radio Bandung was chosen as the research object because as the biggest radio station in Bandung, Ardan was thought to have made a breakthrough by using internet technology for its broadcasting operation in order to extend its coverage. It adopted streaming technology along with social media application (facebook, twitter, instagram, path) to support its broadcasting activities. The research’s conclusion was that technical policy of radio station’s management in the process of dispersion transformation of the content of the broadcasting radio through streaming radio or internet supported the ongoing transformation process.The dispersion transformation of the content of the broadcasting radio through streaming radio or internet was proven a strategic and tactical initiative in response to technological development, which has made way for the adoption of internet as media.The dispersion transformation of the content of the broadcasting radioand the broadcast patterns through streaming radio in Ardan Radio were executed by way of splitting 2 live broadcast contents which were then transmitted through analogous radio (on air) and live streaming. It is necessary to apply regulations/rules in the process of the dispersion transformation of the content of the broadcasting radio. The government and other institutions control and give constructive guidance through media regulations.

 

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi berkembangnya teknologi penyiaran dengan Radio streaming, yang sudah mulai menjadi alternatif media yang dipakai selain radio analog. Dengan hadirnya teknologi streaming ini memungkin terjadinya pula perubahan atau transformasi dalam penyebarluasan konten siaran. Mekanisme penyajian dan penyampaian konten yang dihasilkan melalui proses kreatif inilah yang menjadi titik fokus penelitian.Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan metode penelitian studi kasus, dan yang menjadi pertanyaan penelitian ini berkisar mengenai Kebijakan Teknis Manajemen Radio dalam Proses Transformasi Penyebarluasan Konten Radio Siaran melalui radio streaming, alasan

memilih penyebarluasan melalui konten radio streaming, pola siaran melalui radio streaming, dan perlu atau tidaknya diterapkan regulasi/aturan dalam proses transformasi penyebarluasan konten radio siaran.Penelitian dilakukan di Radio Ardan Bandung, dan proses wawancara dilakukan pada bulan Mei hingga Juni 2016, terpilihnya Radio Ardan Bandung sebagai objek penelitian karena Radio Ardan sebagai salahsatu radio swasta terbesar di Bandung, untuk memperluas daya jangkaunya telah melakukan terobosan penggunaan teknologi internet dalam operasional siarannya, termasuk pemakaian teknologi radio streaming dan penggunaan media sosial (facebook, twitter, instagram, path) dalam menunjang siaran yang dilakukannya.Kesimpulan yang didapat dari penelitian ini adalah Kebijakan Teknis Manajemen Radio Ardan dalam Proses Transformasi Penyebarluasan Konten Radio Siaran melalui radio streaming, yang dilakukan sangat mendukung pada proses transformasi yang berlangsung. Pengelola memilih transformasi penyebarluasan konten melalui radio streaming / internet, merupakan langkah taktis strategis mensikapi perkembangan teknologi saat ini yang telah merambah pada penggunaan media internet. Proses Transformasi Penyebarluasan Konten Radio Siaran dan pola siaran melalui radio streaming di radio Ardan, dapat dijelaskan secara teknis yaitu dalam pengolahan konten siaran, Radio Ardan membagi 2 konten siaran langsung untuk dipancarluaskan melalui siaran analog atau On Air dan Live Streaming. Regulasi/Aturan perlu diterapkan dalam Proses Transformasi Penyebarluasan Konten Radio Siaran, Regulasi media adalah kontrol dan pembinaan media massa oleh pemerintah dan lembaga lainnya.
